THE BOX
One mysterious day, a brown, cardboard box was sitting neatly on Max’s dinosaur sheet covered bed. He opened with a frown of confusion and suspicion. Suddenly, the lid slipped unprecedently from his fingers, leaving him in state of shock. BOOM!
Max was forced away from the brown box, his every nerve
rattling inside him. He crashed into the hard wall, plunging him into a dark
world. When he woke up, he saw flames flickering on his burned shoes and
shrieked with pain and anger. Shaking, he stood up and ran as fast as he could.
The home behind him burst into flames, tiles smashing,
windows cracking and the wood falling, eaten by the ravenous fire. Max turned
around and bid a silent goodbye to his home, his face broken and teared by the
heavy emotions that lingered near his depressed heart.
Struggling, he pulled on with his journey, hoping to find a
safe place to stay. On the way, he passed beautiful fields, swaying trees and
birds singing, radiating happiness and joy. Max only wished his life could be
that enjoyable. Finally, he came to a stop, the Brothers’ Orphanage. The
director there was generous, suppling him with food and clothes. From that
moment, Max lived happily ever after.
