Character descriptive paragraph: My brother

My brother walked into the house, his feet heard padding around the room. When he saw the present lying near his feet, his eyes gleamed, like the sun on a bright summer day. He lunged at it, his hands a blur, his jet black hair sparkling with sweat. He tore the wrapper, leaving only the neglected scraps to fall gently onto the wooden floor. "Hooray!" he cried, holding it out in the light, his feet jumping up and down in excitement. As fast as a cheetah, he sprinted up the stairs to show his grandparents this newly found toy. My parents smiled and I returned it. I had never seen him so joyous.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         By Dihein Wickramatunge
