Persuasive: SHOULD STUDENTS BRING MOBILE PHONES TO SCHOOL?

I strongly believe that it is unnecessary to bring mobile phones to school. This is because phones can be distracting, there could be inappropriate things and they can be used to cheat while completing tests and exams. Mobile phones are not good to be looking at during everyday life, especially for children. Children can use their time to play and learn instead of watching things on their phone. Let’s dive deeper to see how mobile phones can be harmful to children.

Firstly, mobile phones can be distracting to you and other children. This is because mobile phones can ring at any time, for calls, texts and notifications. Some may argue that texting and calling is important, but isn’t it better to pick them up silently rather than disturbing them, the whole class and the teacher, who all may be engaged with their own work? This is why pupils must not bring mobile phones to school.

In addition to that, children’s phones may be filled with inappropriate things. Social media is not a great website for children. Social media can have things that are not supposed to be seen for young people. If we have phones at school, social media could easily disturb the lives of your child and other pupils. Looking at it this way, it is obvious that students should not bring mobile phones to school.

Finally, mobile phones can be used to cheat. In exams and tests, some cheeky children may use their phone to find answers while the teachers are unaware of this behaviour. This is not actually learning, it’s just an unfair way to cheat. Mobile phones could ruin the lives of many people if we start bringing mobile phones to school. Won’t you help prevent this?

Concluding these reasons, don’t you think we should ban mobile phones being brought to school? They can be harmful because they can be used to cheat, they can be inappropriate things and they can be distracting. If you help the world prevent this outcome, it could stop before it gets out of control. This is why the best alternate is that children don’t bring mobile phones to school.
